New to Socket, or only using a corner of it? This guide is a tour of the whole platform: what each part does, with a link to the full guide when you want the detail.
If you're still setting your account up (pricing, historical proposals for billing, templates, importing clients), the Get Started with Socket onboarding guide covers that, or book a Fast Track call for free onboarding support and a pricing health check.
Leads
The Leads module is your pipeline. Track new deals on a kanban board, add notes and activities for your team, and create a proposal straight from a lead when they're ready to see numbers.

Proposals
Proposals are the heart of Socket. Pick a client (Companies House lookup does the heavy lifting), choose services from your pricing menu, and send a polished, sign-ready proposal in minutes. You can also let AI draft one from a call transcript or rough notes.

Services and Pricing
Your pricing menu holds every service you offer and how you charge for it. Price drivers adjust fees by frequency, volume, or complexity, so quoting stays consistent no matter who builds the proposal.

Engagement Letters and Service Schedules
Every proposal can carry a compliant engagement letter, with service schedule wording that populates automatically from the services selected. Socket Engage creates and maintains the content for you, or you can bring your own.
Clients
The Clients section holds your prospects and active clients, with proposals, documents, and billing history on each record. Import your list from a spreadsheet, or sync it from your practice management tool.
Forms
Forms lets you collect information from clients without the email back-and-forth. Build a form from scratch, from a template, or with AI, share it by link or send it in bulk, and watch the responses land in Socket.

Billing
Once a proposal is won, Socket takes over the invoicing. Recurring fees post to Xero automatically each month, one-off work bills when it completes, and there are no repeating invoices to remember to update.

Work Management
The Work section tracks your on-completion services, so the invoice is raised when the job is actually done. Mark the work complete and billing follows.

Price Monitoring
Price Monitoring compares what you're charging with what's actually happening: client volumes, software subscription charges, and drivers that have drifted since the proposal was signed. It flags where fees no longer reflect the work, so you can adjust before the gap grows.

TaxScout
TaxScout connects to HMRC and brings Corporation Tax, PAYE, Self Assessment, and VAT data for your whole client base into one view. Deadlines and balances, without logging into the Gateway for each client.

Surveys
CSAT surveys are Socket's built-in feedback tool. Measure client satisfaction consistently and spot problems while they're still easy to fix.

Templates
Design templates standardise how your proposals look and behave (branding, approval flows, reminders), while pricing templates pre-fill the services for your common jobs. Together they get a new proposal most of the way built before you've typed anything.

Socket Insights
Insights is our Google Sheets add-on for reporting on your Socket data. Run client service matrices, pricing reports, and proposal driver reports whenever you need them.
AI Assistants
You can connect AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT directly to your Socket account. Once connected, they can look up leads, draft proposal plans, and answer questions using your own practice data.

Practice Settings
Practice Settings is where Socket becomes yours: branding, email templates, testimonials, team members and their roles, and integrations with tools like Xero and your practice management software.
