Some practices in FYI manage more than one office, branch, or location, that work from distinct client lists but share the same FYI account. FYI handles this using a custom field often named Office, Branch, or Location.
If you have multiple offices operating as different practices in Socket, you can enable multi-office mode so that staff can filter work and avoid mixing client lists.
Socket only searches and syncs clients from the office you’ve selected.
Existing clients in Socket can be assigned to the correct FYI office automatically.
If your practice operates from one office, or you want all staff to have access to all FYI clients in Socket, then you can leave this setting switched off.
1. Configure Your FYI Integration
Go to Practice Settings > Integrations and toggle ‘Show All Available Integrations’ to find the FYI integration.
Connect FYI.
2. Enable Multi-Offices
Turn on Multi-Offices if your FYI account contains clients grouped by location by enabling the option 'We use multiple offices'.
3. Specify the FYI Custom Field
A new field will appear for your 'Office Custom Field Name'.
Enter the field exactly as it appears in FYI. This is case-sensitive.
The default suggestion is Office, but yours may differ (Location and Branch are also common).
Click 'Save'.
⚠️ Socket will now recognise the field but won’t sync FYI clients until an office is selected.
4. Office Selection Required
Click 'Select Office Now'.
Socket will pull your FYI office values automatically. Choose the office you’re working in.
Select 'Confirm Selection'.
That's your multi-office setup complete! Socket will return results only for the chosen office. You can disable the feature or switch offices later if needed, by selecting 'Configure Offices' from the FYI section on your integrations settings page.
5. Linking Existing Socket Clients
If clients were already existing in Socket before connecting FYI, you'll need to match them to your FYI clients next. Follow this guide to ensure your clients are synced and clickable straight through to FYI.
