Once your FYI integration is connected and your entity type mappings are configured, Socket will automatically assign the correct FYI business structure when a new client is created via a Socket proposal.
Watch the video for a full run through or follow the below step-by-step guide.
Creating a New Proposal
Let’s walk through a scenario to see how it will work in practice:
You've created a new Proposal in Socket for a new client
And your client has, for example, the “Partnership” entity type in Socket
And you've updated your Entity Type mappings to point this to a Business Partnership structure in FYI, then:
After the proposal is has been signed in Socket by the client and is marked as won:
A new client will be created in FYI (if they don’t already exist)
The entity type in FYI will show as a Business Partnership
The proposal PDF will automatically be pushed to the client’s Documents section in FYI.
You can open the client in FYI, preview the PDF, and see that it has been successfully linked and saved.
Updating Mappings
You can reconfigure your entity type mappings at any time from the FYI integration settings.
Socket will handle updating any affected client records- just note that this may take a little time depending on volume.
Proposal Sync
Once a client is linked to FYI, all future proposals, renewals, or adjustments will automatically sync to FYI.
Each proposal PDF will be stored under the client’s Documents in FYI
That’s it! You’ve now fully configured the FYI integration - from connecting your account to syncing proposals and ensuring consistent entity types across platforms.
