Creating a Lead in Socket

Manage lead status, create proposals, and progress deals through to approval, all within a kanban style view.

How To Create a New Lead in Socket

1. Select 'New Lead' on the Leads board.

2. Select 'New Client' and search for the company through Companies House, or enter manually.

3. Add the Lead details:

a) Deal title (optional)

b) Owner

c) Deal size

d) Deal temperature

4. Select 'Create Lead'. The lead will now show in the 'Enquiry' section of the Leads board.

5. Drag and drop the Lead to move the deal through the stages on the board.

Adding an Existing Proposal to a Lead Record

1. Select 'Link to Proposal' from the top right of the Lead Record.

2. Select between the draft, pending, or won proposals open for that client.

Alternatively, you can go into the Proposal, and choose which Lead Record to link by selecting between 'Create New Lead' and 'Link to Existing Lead'.

Finding Your Deal Record History after a proposal is Active

Once your proposal is Active, you can always access the Lead Record history from within the proposal.

Find the proposal from the 'Proposal' tab on the client record, or from the main Proposal dashboard.
