After The Proposal is Signed
🎉 Huge congratulations.. you have just won a new client!
So what happens next?
Upon signature, the new client is sent a PDF copy of the Proposal (along with the Engagement Letter where applicable).
The proposal has a status of WON in the system - it won’t change to ACTIVE until the start date of the proposal.
The proposal start date is still “provisional” at this point. You’ll need to go in a confirm the start date which can be actioned from the list of proposals on the “Home” screen and clicking on the clock icon:
Alternatively you can do this from within the proposal details screen, under the “Dates” section:
This date effectively locks in the proposal and allows it to become “active” when it reaches the start date.
NOTE: When you "confirm the start date" for a proposal, it doesn't necessarily move from WON to ACTIVE immediately - this depends on the starting month selected.
If the start month is the current month or a previous month, it will move to ACTIVE immediately.
If the start month is a future month then it will stay as WON until the 1st day of the month specified, at which point Socket will automatically update the status of it to ACTIVE.
If this is a renewal, it will mark the proposal it takes over from as SUPERSEDED at the point that it becomes active.
