Automatically send an email reminder to clients who haven’t yet signed their Proposals and Engagement Letters, helping you follow up without extra admin.
With this feature you can:
Turn the feature on or off for the practice
Set default settings for your practice
Override these settings, on a per proposal/document basis.
Configuring your Default Practice Settings
Head to Practice Settings > Proposal Settings.
Toggle on 'Enable Proposal Reminders'
*Note* Turning this setting on within your practice settings will apply reminders to all documents that are currently in a 'pending' state.
Here you can select the default choices you want to use for both Proposals and Engagement Letters.
You can choose up to a maximum of 20 days between reminders and up to 5 reminders.
Tailor the wording of the email, using the tags to personalise the content or keep the suggested wording. Save changes to continue.
Overriding Default Practice Settings
When creating your document, whether that is a Proposal or an Engagement Letter, you can opt to override your default settings, as they may not be applicable for this particular client.
Proposals
When you get to the customise page when creating a Proposal, you'll see a section titled 'Proposal Reminders'. Click the section to expand and see your practice setting defaults, here you can edit them and override your default settings for this Proposal only.
Engagement Letters
If you are sending an Engagement Letter, you'll also see this in the customise page, instead it's titled 'Document Reminders'.
Chose the settings you want to apply for this Engagement Letter only.
The Email Reminder
The email will be sent directly to the contact on the document, and will contain your logo in the same way that Proposal and Engagement Letters do.
If you have your DNS settings configured, the email will also go from your specified practice email address.
Reminders will be sent once daily at 8:30 UTC time.
Using Reminders in Design Templates
You can combine Reminders with Design Templates too, enabling you to pick settings that can then be applied quickly to a new Proposal or Engagement Letter - see our Templates guide here.
