Socket keeps you up to date whenever someone submits one of your forms. You will always get an in-app notification, and you can choose to also be notified by email, Slack, or both.
In-app notifications
Every form sends an in-app notification when a response comes in. There is nothing to switch on, it works for all forms automatically.
A number appears on the bell icon in the top right of Socket. Click the bell to see your recent notifications.
Each one tells you who submitted and which form they completed, for example "Pearl Wolf submitted a response to VAT Return Information". Click the notification to go straight to that response.
Email and Slack notifications
Additional to the in-app notification, you can choose to be notified by email or Slack.
This option is set on a form basis, so multiple forms can have different notification settings.
Open the form and click the settings cog at the top. On a draft form the settings cog sits next to Publish, and on an active form it sits next to the Share and Responses buttons.
Find the "Get notified about form responses" section.
Toggle on "Email the team inbox" to have notifications sent to your team inbox.
If you have the Slack integration enabled, toggle on "Send a Slack message" to have notifications posted to Slack.
Click Done.
You can change these settings at any time, on both draft and active forms.
Using Slack notifications
⚠️ The "Send a Slack message" option only becomes available once the Slack integration is connected for your practice.
If the toggle is greyed out, you will see the note "Connect Slack in Settings to enable Slack notifications". Connect Slack in Integration Settings and the toggle will be ready to use.
