At Socket, we want to have a mutually beneficial relationship where everyone wins when you grow your business by closing deals and taking on more clients. Additionally, one of the main aims of Socket is to help your business stay profitable and avoid your margins from being eroded by proposals that do not reflect the evolving nature of its services.

We think charging for our software on a per-proposal basis does not encourage firms to stay on top of proposals. Instead, Socket's Core Membership Plans are based around the number of Active Clients your practice has. The definition of an Active Client for the purposes of your subscription are:

A client record of any type (e.g. Limited Company, Individual, etc) that has one or more "active" proposals or engagement letters on Socket

The key points to expand on here are:

  • There are no limits to the number of active proposals, renewals, minor adjustments and engagement letters that a client can have - they only contribute to this count once

  • If the client is not on the Socket platform then it does not contribute to this count

  • If a client has a status of "CLOSED" then they do not contribute to this count

  • If a client (regardless of its status) does not have any active agreements on Socket then they do not contribute to this count

  • If a client's proposal or engagement letter has not yet been approved then the client does not contribute to this count

  • If a client's proposal or engagement letter has ended / closed or been marked as lost then the client does not contribute to this count

Hopefully this illustrates that we are keen to keep things fair and help you and your business succeed!
