What is Safe Mode?

When you start a trial or create a new account, it will begin in 'Safe Mode'. This allows you to explore the system with a few safeguards in place:

Emails will only be sent to email addresses with your own domain, ensuring your clients won't receive any unwanted test proposals.

Integrations are read-only, so you can't accidentally overwrite data in connected apps with Socket test data.

Reset Data is possible while in Safe Mode, you may want to clear out test data by removing Client, Contact and Proposal records before going live. Removing services and pricing configuration is also an option.

Leaving Safe Mode

Once you’ve finished setting things up and testing, and you’re ready to send your first proposal, you’re all set to come out of Safe Mode 🥳

Here's a few final things you might want to double-check.

  1. Clear out test data - clients, contacts or proposals. Click ‘Safe Mode’ on your top banner and ‘Select your Reset Options’

  2. Check your branding feels like you Branding

  3. Set your proposal numbers - stick with your old system if that’s easier Proposal settings (you can only do this once before leaving Safe Mode)

  4. Make sure everyone on the team has their invite Team

  5. Give your Engagement Letter a quick review in Document Templates

  6. Add or tweak your Service Schedule Templates

  7. Then, link your Service Schedules to your pricing. Go to Pricing and then click ‘Billing & Engagement Letter Settings'

  8. Check your integrations are all connected and working.

Tip: Socket Engage will help out with points 5 & 6 💡

Once you're ready to go live, head to the Subscription Page to choose your package, then drop us a message when you're ready to leave Safe Mode and we'll set you live 🎉
