Forms doesn't stop you improving a form once it's live. Rather than changing the form people are already using, Socket creates a new version, so nothing in flight gets disturbed.
Editing creates a new version
To change a form that's already published:
Open the live form and choose "Edit".
A prompt explains that editing now creates a new version, and that your live form stays exactly as published in the meantime. Confirm to carry on.
You now have a new version as a draft, while the previous version stays active.
Make your changes, for example adding or removing a section, then hit "Publish".
Your new version then replaces the previous one as the form everyone gets from that point on.
š” While you're working on the draft, your published form carries on exactly as it was. Nothing changes for anyone until you hit Publish.
Previous versions
Older versions don't disappear. They stay in the background and you can see your full version history. Each version keeps its own responses, so everything you've already collected stays exactly as it was. Our Viewing and managing responses guide shows how responses are organised by version.
Your link and QR code
Your public link and QR code stay the same across versions and always point to the latest published version, so there's nothing to re-share when you publish an update. Previous versions stay in the background for your records, but can't be shared on their own.
