What is an Invoice Branding Template in Xero?

In Xero, invoice branding templates (sometimes called invoice themes) control how your invoices look when sent to clients. They let you customise the layout, add your logo, set payment terms, and include footers or extra information. You can create multiple templates for different situations.

  1. First, in Socket, go to Practice Settings → Integrations and ensure Xero integration is connected.

  2. Select Clients from the left hand menu, and navigate to the client record you want to set a template for.

  3. Select the Invoicing tab within the client record, under the Invoice Template (Branding Theme in Xero) use the drop-down menu to select the template you want to use for this client.

  4. Choose Save.

  5. When generating invoices from Socket (billing recurring or one-off), Socket will push the invoice through to Xero using the selected template for this client. Repeat the process to use specific templates for specific clients.
